The Special Events & Engagement Team (SEET), is a volunteer group made up of wm+a associates, AlphaBee and wm+a operations team, instructor therapists and clinicians, students, and community members, organizing and hosting events throughout the year to raise essential funds that support two key initiatives benefiting children and families in our community:

Daily Bread Food Bank, Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, Autism Ontario, Surrey Place, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Aid Society, Family Services Toronto, and more, helping us extend our reach to families across the GTA and Greater Hamilton Area.
100% Impact
Each year, thanks to our generous community, together we provide children with school supplies, gifts, and families with gift cards – all made possible through donations and event participation. 100% of proceeds go directly to these initiatives, with wm+a and AlphaBee matching all funds.

Breakfast with Santa Initiative
Each December, SEET hosts “Breakfast with Santa” for children and families in our community. Santa makes a special visit to deliver gifts to children and youth, while families pick up a “to-go” breakfast to enjoy at home and also receive a gift card to support their holiday meal.

From a seed of an idea the event has grown to support hundreds of children and their families each year.
Back-to-School Backpack Initiative
Each summer, SEET distributes backpacks filled with school supplies and treats to children and youth. These efforts help young learners start the school year prepared and confident.
2024 Highlights
Goal: 300 backpacks
Outcome: 372 fully stocked backpacks gifted, individually chosen by each student
Impact: Families connected to our community partners received the support they needed.
